Roll-up Door Series Returns at Ground Breaker Brewing With An Imperial IPA

Ground Breaker Brewing, the nation’s first 100% dedicated gluten-free brewery, is rolling out the first release of the year in their Roll Up Door Series. Ground Breaker’s Imperial IPA weighs in at a staggering 10% ABV and 100 IBU. A uniquely American style, this double India Pale Ale boasts enough alcohol and bitterness to satisfy even the most enthusiastic Northwest hophead. It’s a gluten-free beer best enjoyed fresh, before the hop flavor and aroma dissipates.

Ground Breaker’s Imperial IPA will be released Thursday April 27th , and will be available through the Ground Breaker Gastropub and Bring on the Beer, the Pacific Northwest's #1 online craft beer store.

Ground Breaker will be pouring pints of IIPA during their Taproom Takeover at Cidra Cider Room in Bellingham, Washington on April 29th from 5-7pm. 22oz bottles will also be available for purchase. In addition, the Tap Takeover will feature 7th Avenue Saison and Coffee Pale Ale.

A limited release, Ground Breaker Brewing produces 7 barrels for their Roll Up Door Series of ales, so this hoppy gluten-free beer is sure to sell out quickly. The Imperial IPA first appeared as Roll Up Door Series #1 in the summer of 2015.

Gluten-free hopheads rejoice, Ground Breaker Brewing’s Imperial IPA has returned.

It’s the Season for a Gluten Free Saison at Ground Breaker Brewing

Ground Breaker Brewing, the first 100% dedicated gluten-free brewery in the United States, is offering up 7th Ave Saison for their late-Spring seasonal. Their saison, a pale ale brewed in the refreshing farmhouse style originating from the French-speaking Wallonia region of Belgium, is an easy to drink gluten-free beer that lets the distinctive yeast and noble Fuggle hops speak for themselves.

At 4.7% alcohol by volume and 20 IBU, this cooling seasonal ale is a perfect fit for all manner of springtime activities. “Every year while brewing, as the first signs of Spring are making their appearance, we ask ourselves what we want to drink and this year it was a saison” said James Neumeister, head of R&D at Ground Breaker Brewing.

7th Ave Saison will be released Wednesday, April 27. Ground Breaker Gastropub will feature a paired menu for their Wednesday Supper. Ground Breaker is also featuring three Taproom Exclusives. 7th Ave Tarragon Saison, 7th Ave Lemon Saison, and 7th Ave Kumquat Saison. These Taproom Exclusives will only be available in the Ground Breaker Gastropub for a limited time.

Ground Breaker Brewing Announces Washington Distribution Deals

The eminent producer of gluten-free craft beer, Ground Breaker Brewing, has announced new distribution deals with Washington distributors Alpha, Walton, and Olympic.  Alpha Distributing, an independently owned Washington based distributor, will be selling their award winning gluten-free craft beers in King, Pierce, Thurston, Snohomish, Mason, Lewis, and Kitsap counties. Alpha will be working with Olympic Distributing to bring Ground Breaker’s gluten-free craft beer to the Olympic Peninsula. Walton Beverage Company, an independent and family owned distributor, is handling distribution in the counties of Whatcom, Skagit, Island, and San Juan.

“After four years of sales in Washington we’re extremely excited to be working with these independent, craft beer centered distributors. They are very focused on small craft breweries. Pride and dedication to their brands is what we’re looking for, it fits within our expansion strategy,” said James Neumeister, head of R&D at Ground Breaker Brewing.

Ground Breaker Brewing, who has won a medal all four years they have entered the Great American Beer Festival®, has been expanding distribution into California, Vermont, and Maine since late last year. The company is now redirecting their efforts in Washington.

About Alpha Distributing
Alpha Distributing was formed in the spring of 2011 by Aaron Gardner and Jeff Bert, who combined have over 35 years of experience in the craft brewing industry. Together, they saw a need for a new distributor in Western WA who would solely focus on small craft breweries still handling distribution themselves or did not have a current distribution network. Past relationships with a handful of breweries as well as seeking out new opportunities for up and coming brewers and brands has allowed Alpha Distributing the opportunity to put together one of the best portfolios of ales and lagers here in Western Washington.
